Advantage Performance Training has won a Special National Training Award (NTA) for achieving lasting excellence and success through training for one of its blue - chip clients.

The winners of a Special National Training Award were selected from 223 finalists for truly exceptional achievement from amongst the elite group of national award winners. This represents outstanding achievement and effectiveness in workplace training and people development.

entered the NTA after carrying out a major training programme for a large UK engineering group. The objective of the programme was to improve the performance of their supervisors and encourage their perception of themselves as part of the company's management team.

Many of the supervisors arrived for the first training day “negative, cynical and even aggressive” said the operations manager. “By day two… the ‘buzz' had been achieved.”

Following the series of one day modules and projects, supervisors are sponsoring and leading process improvements. Efficiency and health and safety have improved. More jobs are completed on schedule and faults are fixed faster.

Since the programme has taken place the client's Operations Change Manager has said:
